What you should wear for your boudoir shoot

Once someone decides to do a boudoir shoot, the next thing that comes to mind is what to wear ... or in this case, what not to wear! The selection is really endless. What you wear to have these most intimate portraits made is entirely up to you. Here are some tips and tricks we came up with to help girls choose their wardrobe as boudoir photographers.

The basics

The first thing to choose for packing is the simplest, and this is your basic bra / underwear / lingerie. That doesn't mean you have to buy a whole bunch of new stuff (although you can, and sometimes that's half the fun of a boudoir shoot). A matching bra and underwear set with some accessories is a timeless classic look in which almost every woman looks good. Add a sleek top to the mix to further vary the look. Stockings and garters are also great additions and give a simple bra and lingerie set visual interest and a little more sexy. Other lingerie basics are corsets that are great for voluptuous women who want to flaunt their breasts. Chemises and babydolls are also great, flattering lingerie plots that are great for shooting. These are the looks that are classically sexy, with lace and ruffles and all the things boys dream of, but you can also find pieces that are a little more revealing and sexy if you like revealing a bit more.

The most important thing about classic lingerie during a boudoir shoot is the fit. Lingerie should fit you well, not too tight or too loose. Having lingerie that fits well means that it will cover and flatter you no matter how you end up posing.

Pay attention to how simple your lingerie is. Depending on how well you feel during your nudity session, pure pieces can be challenging or significantly improve your photos. It just depends on what you want from your session.

His stuff

Another staple for boudoir shoots is clothing that you steal from your significant other. Be it a sports jersey, a button-down shirt, a few ties, anything that matters to him will be dynamite for you! Depending on the comfort, underwear with ties is a great look. Other great implicit nude looks are flags or blankets from favorite sports teams, a soccer ball or basketball that covers you up, or maybe even a belt. Unique ideas

Once these ideas are packed and ready to go, it's a good time to develop some unique ideas that are related to you or his interests, or maybe just take a look at them. One of our favorites are different looks with jeans. We made jeans and a bra, unbuttoned jeans with bra and underwear and even just jeans and scarves that cover girls over them. Boys love jeans, and girls love it too, they can be sexy, flattering, and fun and are definitely part of a good boudoir wardrobe. You can also come up with looks that suit your hobbies. Maybe your husband is into video games. In this case, a couple of controllers, nerd glasses, and a tight gaming t-shirt with high socks might look good. Maybe he's a racing driver and a checkered flag or a pit girl outfit would be great. Maybe he collects comics and it would be great to hide in a couple of first editions. The purpose of these looks is to do something unique, something special for him and you. You don't necessarily have to be lingerie or very revealing, because a girl can make everything look sexy with a little effort.
