Here are some tips for success I have put together after many years of participating and winning online contests, in addition to the knowledge gained from managing my own contest community website.
Set up multiple email accounts
The first thing to do is set up multiple email accounts. Some competitions have entry restrictions based on an email address, so the more email addresses you have, the more times you can enter. I recommend using GMail as it is quite easy to upload all emails to one account, this will also allow you to check all your emails with a single login. You will receive a lot of follow-up emails, so having multiple email accounts will not obstruct your personal or work email inbox.
While the idea of winning a new car may be appealing, the truth is that not many people win cars, most competitors will only give away one or two cars and receive many entries. If you really want to start winning competitions, spend your time entering the competitions with the most prizes available, compilations that are giving away thousands of smaller prizes that I win regularly.
Degree of difficulty of entry.
The more difficult it is to enter a competition, the fewer entries you will receive and the greater your chances of winning. For example, a competition that requires you to answer a question in 25 words or less will receive fewer entries than an entry mechanic that only requires you to enter your data, so it's worth the effort to enter these types of comps.
Autofill software
There are various web browser software and plug-ins that allow you to complete forms faster by storing data you use frequently. A popular program that does this is called "Roboform", it is not free but it is worth the investment if you plan to participate in many competitions.
Join a competition community website
Many new competitions are created daily, to stay updated on the latest Online competition , you must join a competition community. You should be able to find an online community in your country that is full of similar people. Subscribe to their RSS feed if you have one or join a mailing list to stay updated when new competitions start.
Have persistence
To be successful you need a lot of persistence, I participate in more than 1500 competitions every year. The mistake I see that many newcomers make is that they will participate in 10 or 20 competitions and since they don't get rewards they just give up. Hang in there, once you get your first win, you'll be motivated to keep going and even enjoy what you're doing.
